The client recognizes that SDI Gems and Jewellery Lab, SDI in short, is a neutral, independent laboratory and has no financial interest in any article(s) submitted by the client.
Kindly note that the item(s) are not checked for any missing stones, damages, etc. nor tested for authenticity during the time of submission at the reception.
SDI handles all items with utmost care and precautions. Yet, some item(s) and stones that are fragile are more vulnerable to damages during the process of testing/handling/storage/transit. SDI shall not be held liable for any damages that may occur during the process of testing/handling/storage/transit.
The client authorizes SDI to deliver any article(s) to any person presenting the receipts for those articles(s).
The client recognizes that opinion may vary as to the characteristics covered in the report issued by SDI, hence neither SDI nor any member of its staff at any time will be held responsible in any manner for any discrepancy, which may result from the application of other grading methods.
The client recognizes that the report issued by SDI may differ in future due to modifications, improvement of techniques and equipments used.
The report is provided upon the request of the client of the article(s). By issuing the report SDI does not agree to purchase or replace the article(s).
In the event of any claim by the client or any person for damage to the article(s) or damages resulting, directly or indirectly from the report, the liability of SDI shall be limited to the amount it received as fee in connection with the report.
SDI reserves the right to change or modify the above mentioned terms and conditions.
Any articles, stones or jewellery submitted for grading has to be collected within 30 days from the date of invoice. If not collected, SDI will charge a handling charges of Rs.250/- per day per stone/ jewellery till the date of collection.
SDI will not be held responsible for the client property after 30 days from the date of receipt.
Any dispute / arbitration arising as a result of the reports shall be governed by the Indian Judicial System subject to the jurisdiction of Bengaluru in the state of Karnataka.
